Take Good Care of Your Candle

Posted by Patty Clarkson on

Have you ever had a candle stop burning before it reached the end of the container? If not, you're one of the lucky ones. Candles are an easy way to create ambiance and fill your home with beautiful smells. But because they can be expensive, we want them to last as long as possible!

But what if I told you that there was a simple trick that will make your candles burn longer than ever before? Before lighting your candle for each use, trim the wick to 1/8" to 1/4" using scissors or nail clippers. This will allow more air flow in and help prevent smoke from forming which would shorten your candle's lifespan.

You should also only light for at least four hours at a time.  This allows the wax to burn more evenly down the jar.

If you take good care of your candle your candle will return the love!

Cheers!

Patty
